Granny Saves the Day!!!
I shouldn't have gone out with him, I knew I should have gone out with him, I didn't even know him! but he kept asking and I broke down. Brian was taking me on a date.
I didn't make much of an effort to look good, I wore a little makeup and a cute top from the back of my closet, this was a pity date. I hate pity dates, so I kept telling myself it was a "getting to know him" date, but, although he's a hottie, his arrogance is too much of a turn off for this to be anything more than a pity date. My roomate dropped me off and I was too busy moaning about how much of a jerk this guy is that I left my purse in her car.
He lives with his mother. His mother is not nice. We were talking on the couch when she came into the room, looked right at me and told me it smelled like somthing had died. Brian took this as the cue to introduce us. "Nice to meet you." I said "That's a lie." she muttered. She's ver perceptive. Then she asked us if we would help her pull up weeds in the yard. That was the highlight of the night. I'm glad I didn't dress up, my pants were caked in dirt.
Brian's 21 years old, he doesn't have a car, a licence or a highschool diploma. His mommy drove us to dinner, she had to stop along the way and I ran into shop n' save and picked up tampons for her. Then she dropped us off at denny's. Yum.
I thought things might pick up from here, and dinner actually wasn't too bad. I ordered somthing inexpensive, he ordered a steak. We talked about physics and time travel while we were waiting for our food, I was surprised he actually knew what he was talking about, for a few minutes I could look past everything else, he wasn't too bad. Then our food came, and he reminded me of a pig in a trouth.
Steak at Denny's isn't cheap, I usually offer to split the check, especially when I know the guy isn't going to "get any", but my purse was in my roomates car. He paid without complaint, afterall, his order was almost twice as much as mine was.
We walked accross the street to the cinema. I was pretty carefull not to cross the line between friendly and too friendly. He spent about 10 dollars on those silly sticker machines that they have at theaters. I carry my licence in my purse and I look a lot younger then 20, so we couldn't see the R film that I was looking forward too. We saw something else, which I actually enjoyed a lot. I was having a good time, we held hands. Halfway through the show he slowly moved my hand to the throbing erection in his pants. I was so unprepared for this that I actually screamed, everyone in the theater looked at me, this was not a scary movie. I didn't say anything but I stopped holding his hand.
After the film he went to call a cab, then he asked me if I had any money, he had spent all of it on the expensive dinner and spiderman stickers. I reached into my pockets, all I had was 2 and a half bucks. Wow, this night was going down hill. We sat at a picknick table that was nestled between a busy intersection and a gas station. My roomate works nights and I couln't think of anyone who would jump to pick me up at 12:30 on a saturday night. This was such an awful night, I almost cried. He started talking about something stupid I just wanted to yell at him. After 10 minutes of him slowly inching towards me, informing me on how popular he was in highschool. I got up and walked to the pay phone without saying anything, I started calling people, no one was home, or they were sleeping. Finally I called my grandmother, I felt awful, I had woken her up out of a sound sleep and she was on her way.
I saw her coming up the road, 5 mph, blinker on. God, I love my grandma. I made up an excuse to sit in the front with my grandmother. I didn't want to sit alone in the back with him and relive what happened in the theater with my Grandmother just two feet away, I bet he would have done something like that too. We dropped him off at his house and Granny dropped me off at mine, and I promised myself I would never go out with a guy that I know is going to be a lousy date.
