Nightmare Millenium

I had been going out with this girl for about 3 months when she dumped me in about October and got together with an older guy (we were both 17 at the time). I was mortified - i had been crazy about her for about 3 years and thought things were going great. I played the ‘we'll just be friends’ thing hoping that this older dude would break up with her and she would come back to me. Well he did...and she came back. We got back together and I was happy again. It was Millennium eve approaching and she invited me to go round to her house before going to party for a few drinks with her family. Armed with a chilled bottle of Veuve Clicquot I went round and spent about three hours meeting her entire extended family. We moved onto the party and were having a great time till about 11.40pm when ‘the older dude’ turned up. My girlfriend disappears and at 11.55pm on the last day of 1999 I find my girlfriend out front snogging the face off the ba$%rd…

I left in a furious mood and was persuaded to go to another party where I sat in a corner and finished an entire bottle of scotch…needless to say my first day of the year 2000 was spent in bed feeling REALLY bad!!

Only good thing for me was that he treated her really badly and she came crawling back, giving me the satisfaction of saying no.
