The Better Than Nothing Boyfriend

I've done this more times than I can count. Basically my last experience was dating a guy who had no job, lived at home, had a son that he never saw, wasn't exactly "gorgeous", possibly had a drug addiction, definitely had other addiction, such as smoking, chewing tobacco and alcohol. So why would anyone date this guy? He's better than nothing. When all your friends have husbands and boyfriends he is someone to bring along. He is there on the rainy Sunday nights and gives you (although you have no idea why) some sort of comfort. Knowing someone is waiting for you to call and just being there. You know you will never marry him, and that you do want someone and something better in your life. You feel like you are constantly is search for someone else. Unfortunately you can't get away.
