Bad Date Stories
Drug Deals

This bad dating experience will need a bit of explaining about my job and the guy I attempted to date:
1. I travel to Asia a few times a year to visit factories who produce the household items I design and market.
2. The photographer who shoots the items for my packaging layouts is a sixties, laid back type of guy.
3. I use to cash my pay checks and often have hundred dollar bills at certain times of the month
4. If my photographer wasn't home, I could leave boxes of items I needed to have photographed with the guy who owned the liquor store across the street from him
5. The date was a wanna be lawyer in college

One day I was heading off to Asia and the wanna be lawyer asked if he could do anything for me whilst I was away. I asked if he would be able to drop off a box of items to my photographer and I explained that if the photographer wasn't home, just leave the box at the liquor store for him.

Well, I didn't realize what a commotion that would cause. The wanna be lawyer started asking if I knew what was in the box. Well, of course I knew. It contained can openers and toasters I needed photos of. He started asking if I was really sure of that as he didn't want to get into any trouble. I was truly baffled and confused. How could dropping off kitchen appliances which needed photographing get him in to any type of trouble? Turns out he thought that maybe I was receiving drugs from Asia and selling them to or through my photographer and maybe the liquor store was involved somehow. I could only laugh and couldn't wait to tell my friends what a weirdo he was. Worse thing is he knew me for a couple of months, but obviously didn't know me at all. I was so innocent of his accusations and he was such a paranoid little thing that I don't know how he copes in everyday life.
