Bad Date Stories

First Date Jitters

I was 17, and going on my first "real" date. (I know, 17. Can you believe it?) My new boyfriend had invited me over to his house so that I could meet his mom and for him to cook me dinner. It was so romantic. He had made pasta, and had even set the table with his mom's good china, silver, candles and flowers all on a white table cloth. He served our food, along with grape juice in wine glasses. After I took one bite, I knew I was in love.

About half way through dinner, he stopped eating and just stared at me in complete horror. He asked me what was wrong with my face. I jumped up, petrified that I had grown some big zit on my face, to make a run for the bathroom, knocking over my wine glass, ruining the white tablecloth. It fell off the table and shattered. At this time his mom came into the room to see what was going on, and in my haste I sent my plate of food flying to the floor. I was horrified!

I finally made it to the bathroom and I had red blotches all over my face!! To make matters worse I started crying and my make up began smearing all over. Then I heard his mother yelling about the broken dishes. I left as soon as I thought the coast was clear.

It was that night that I found out that I was severely allergic to their cats. I was forgiven for the broken dishes, the mess, and the scene I caused. I wasn't forgiven, however, for hitting his mother's car with mine as I backed out of the driveway.
