Bad Date Stories
RollerSkating Queen - not!

I was 16 when I went on my first date ever. As embarrassing as it is to admit now, it was kind of a "set up" by my friend. We were all origionally going to the movies to see "casper" (don't ask me why I remember that) but anyway my friend arrives with this guy (who was actually very good looking and tells us there's been a change of plans and that we're going swimming and then roller skating.

Now I don't mind either (although at this stage I'd never actually put on a pair of skates, let alone been on a rink) but my main concern was I hadn't shaved in weeks and the only thing I had was a red bikini. I told them to give me a minute to get my bathers and stuff and threw in a daggy old shirt (to cover up my unerarms and bikini line) and did a rush job on my legs (they looked like I's had a fight with a razor and the razor won by the end) Needless to say I was self concious in the pool and my date and I didn't exactly get close.

Next was the rollerskating rink. I watched all these romantic teen couples holding hands and skating around to the music and thought "skating, how hard could it be?" Wrong. It turns out my date was a junior figure skating champion. So while he impressed all these girls by twisting and turning I stumbled around the edge of the rink and held onto the hand rail. I fell over a total of six times, and the most witty conversation I had with the guy involved me using the expression "my bottom hurts" (after fall number five)The only time he held my hand was to pick up off the rink (after fall number one).

P.S There wasn't a second date.
