Why So Upset?

Well, it was our second date and I thought it would be really good because he had been so nice the first time when we went out to dinner. He wasn't pushy and there was something boyish about him. But when I got to his apartment (yeah, I drove) he said he wanted to change plans and take me to see some fireworks which we could only see that night. I didn't say anything, but obviously it was outside (yuk!). The only restaurant open after that was really expensive (according to him) and his credit card was rejected! Luckily he had a couple hundred on him to pay. Then I see him eat a mint, so I know he thinks he's getting somewhere with me, but after all he put me through? I dropped him off and wouldn't come up for a drink. When he called the next day, I said we had a bad phone connection, so he called right back and I let the machine take it. My girlfriends laughed when I played it for them on our way to our Weight Watchers meeting.
