Happy start of summer!

OK - summer doesn't officially begin for a couple more weeks, and the warmer weather hasn't really hit my neck of the woods - but it is starting to feel like summer out there. Why is it summer days feel more carefree and summer weekends seem wasted if plans aren't made? Why do summer clothes make me want to start a work-out campaign? Why does ice-cream start to sound so good again? Why does summer TV suck for the most part? Don't programmers know that there are rainy days from time to time?

I want to congratulate Ruben and Clay for the showdown of the season. American Idol will have a tough time topping this season. I tried watching American Juniors - but all the squeaky voices and insane parents were a turn-off. Or maybe it was the lack of the completely embarrassing performances that are found in the American Idol auditions. Yup - I'm a sucker for other people's pain.
