Argh!!!!!
I've had enough!!! Every day I check my e-mail (well - almost everyday) and I go through the hassles of weeding through the hundreds of spam mails I get - just to find that only about 10 were actually for me. I am saying now, loud and clear: I do not need:
- To enlarge my penis. Hello!! I don't have one.
- I do not need to satisfy her. Whoever the hell "her" is - I don't care if she's satisfied or not!!!
- To obtain a green card. I was born here. Don't like to work actually. So no thanks.
- To refinance my home. I can do that on my own - thanks.
- Be informed of scheduled PC maintenance. They don't believe in that around here - so it will never happen!
- Free passwords to porn sites I will never visit. I don't care that your name is Anna and you're 22 years old. Put some clothes on and get a different job. One that does not require you to e-mail me!
- To lose weight while I sleep. I figure the benefit of sleep is that I don't eat - therefor I am not gaining weight. Good enough for me.
- To meet singles. My husband doesn't let me date anymore. Uh huh - sure you thought my profile sounded hot. I'm a hot chick. I'm just not the chick for you.
- To earn an Ivy League education on-line. I'm too lazy even for that kind of schooling.
- To help some bastard in Africa bring over his millions. How many millionaires are there unable to get their cash anyway?? Maybe they should get together and form their own rich country.
- Increase my breast size. Well - my husband would like that perhaps - but it ain't gonna happen online.
- Buy printer cartridges from someone who bugs the shit out of me about it on a daily basis.
- Buy a mini-camera to spy on someone. I have my own - thanks. Courtesy of a store I shop at - not one that sends me a gazillion e-mails.
- I also don't need to find out information about anyone and everyone. That kind of creeps me out. I can stalk with the best of them - but I kind of like the challenge of doing it on my own.
- Work from home. Oh wait - I do that already half of the time. Whoops.
- Win a dream vacation that is absolutely free. All I need to do is send money? Huh?
- Quit smoking. With all the stress these spam mails are giving me - I'm smoking more!
- And last for today - I absolutely hate the e-mails that read...
(are you ready for this...)
Stop Spam Now!
The simplest way for me to stop receiving spam is for you to stop sending it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There are hundreds more I receive on a daily basis - those are just the ones from the past 10 minutes. I've tried many spam filters - unfortunately it started weeding out legit e-mails. (So sorry to Melissa who has tried writing me. And anyone else who I haven't answered.)
I don't understand how any of this can work anyway. Do they really think that after the 713th time I've received an e-mail telling me I should try HGH that I will all of a sudden think "You know - maybe I should!!!" ???? Do they think that by tricking us with fake headers that we will be fooled into buying something that will increase my sexual energy?
Just stop already! Not only is it annoying and time consuming as hell - but it makes it hard for the legitimate mail that people have signed up for to get through. (Was that proper English there??) I have signed up for different mailing lists - things that interest me. But now they either get filtered out with the spam - or I am too frustrated to read them by the time I am done sorting through the mail.
We are looking now into different things you can do - programs to try, etc. If and when we find something that works - we will let you know. :)
Until then - happy deleting!
