As far as the eye can see. And everyone else has a companion, Everyone else except me. So I sit, on my own, in this full, full room, As sad as sad could be. And all that I can think of is, Nobody will ever like me! So many different peeps to meet, So many others in this place, And yet I'm all alone in a crowd, Too scared to go face to face. And then I see another girl, Who's in the same boat as me, Who's all alone and doesn't know, Just where she oughta be. And suddenly I start to realize, A conversation just takes two, And maybe all this girl really needs, Is a little hello from you! So I walk up to this girl, And I say "Hey, my name's Jenn" And she looks up, kinda nervously, And opens her mouth and then... She says, "Hi, I'm Kayla, Wanna sit with me?" So I finally figured out that night Just how I need to be... If I really want to make some friends, It has to start with me! SO REMEMBER: This here is a golden rule, Learn it by heart through and through If you really want to make some friends, You have to be one too!
