Chicken Noodle Soup main dish
What you need:
1 49 1/2 oz can chicken broth 8 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced (3 cups) 1 c sliced green onion 1 1/2 tsp. fine herbs crushed 1/4 tsp. black pepper
2 1/2 c medium noodles (5 ounces) 1 9 ounce package frozen diced cooked chicken (about 2 cups) or 2-3 boneless, skinless chicken breast cut into cubes
What you do:
n a 4 1/2 quart Dutch oven combine chicken broth, mushrooms, green onion, fine herbs, and pepper. If using the uncooked chicken breasts add them at this time also. Bring to boiling;
Add noodles. Cook and stir till the mixture returns to boil.; reduce heat. Cover and boil gently for 7-9 minutes or till noodles are tender (do not overcook). Add cooked chicken at this time if
using the frozen diced cooked chicken. Cover and heat through for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally. ~from the kitchen of Trixie’s Mom
