About the Book
Utilizing wisdom inspired by Jane Austen's novels, from Sense and Sensibility to Pride and Prejudice and beyond, author Lauren Henderson creates an indispensable guide for navigating the all-too-mystifying dating scene. Harnessing the triumphs and pitfalls of Austen's classic characters, Henderson shows how qualities like honesty, self-awareness, and forthrightness always win the right man -- and still let you respect yourself in the morning.

About the Author
Lauren Henderson is a founding voice of the "tart noir" mystery genre and is the author of numerous novels, including My Lurid Past and the Sam Jones detective series (Black Rubber Dress, among others). The Review
Extremely entertaining and cute. Though some of the "advice" should be taken with a grain of salt - I applaud the idea of the book itself. It is a great tribute to an author that has created some of the most well-loved and influential characters in entertainment today.

Sure - life isn't a novel nor a movie. But we can't help but compare our lives to the characters within. So why not go one step further and write a book on dating, using those characters? Jane Austen fans will readily recognize some of the personality traits and courtship rituals that bring her characters close to our hearts. Others may see them as quaint or old-fashioned. Others may scoff at the idea of applying such traditional values in today's society. But there is a reason why Jane Austen still influences our entertainment today. Maybe by looking at the past, we can find some semblance of what we really want in our future.
