Michellina Grealy & Shellie West: We are two stylish and creative women who enjoy fashion, cocktails and socializing. Our frienship is solid and so is our business!

Girlposse.com: How long have you been doing this?
Michellina Grealy & Shellie West: Since the Summer of 2003

Girlposse.com: Beginning a business is a big step. How did this become a "business" vs. just a "hobby""?
Michellina Grealy & Shellie West: With positive feedback from our friends and family and our desire to bring back the hip 1950's style in greeting cards, we decided to give it a try and we're very glad we did. It's very rewarding!

Girlposse.com: Did you have previous business experience - or was the business end new to you?
Michellina Grealy & Shellie West: It was new to both of us. But with the drive to succeed and make "cool cards", it gave us the push we needed to stick it out and not give up when things got challenging.

Girlposse.com: Are there any resources you would recommend to future Entrepreneurial Empresses? (books, websites, etc.)
Michellina Grealy & Shellie West: Know you product and know your competition. Check out other websites and shops that sell similar merchandise and determine how to make yours stand out and be original!

Girlposse.com: What is your opinion of Arts / Crafts shows as a place to sell? As a place to shop?
Michellina Grealy & Shellie West: We are a new company and have not presented our products at a show just yet. We plan to in the near future.

Girlposse.com: What was (is) your biggest obstacle in selling what you create?
Michellina Grealy & Shellie West: None, our products are very well received.

Girlposse.com: Do you find it difficult coming up with original ideas?
Michellina Grealy & Shellie West: There are times when it is difficult to create a new design. When that happens, we keep each other focused and inspired. Patience is important.

Girlposse.com: Are there any plans to expand your product line?
Michellina Grealy & Shellie West: Absolutely! We recently began selling Customized Wedding Invitations. And that's just the beginning!

Girlposse.com: What keeps you going on a bad day?
Michellina Grealy & Shellie West: Reminding each other how far we've come and how good it feels to have people we don't even know tell us they "love" our products.

Girlposse.com: Where are some of your favorite places to shop?
Michellina Grealy & Shellie West: Maxx Studio, Hollister, Pottery Barn and of course online one of a kind boutiques (too many to name).

Girlposse.com: What was the best piece of advice you've been given?
Michellina Grealy & Shellie West: If you really want something go for it, it's a once in a lifetime opportunity. You will never know unless you try.

Girlposse.com: What advice would you give to a future Crafty Diva?
Michellina Grealy & Shellie West: Never underestimate yourself, it can be done!

Michellina Grealy & Shellie West: None that we can name, but I'm sure at this moment there are fiesty women out there getting ready to reveal some exciting new products to the world.
