There is something addicting about handbags and purses. Tori's designs are so incredible I almost feel in need of a 12 step program after browsing her site. :) They are that fabulous! There are styles and designs for any taste, but it is the fun and quirky designs that I love the most. Tori is pretty cool herself.... Cool chick that creates fabulous purses? The Bio

Posh™ was founded by owner & designer Tori Alvarado in the Spring of 2002. Like most women Tori loves to shop for the perfect outfit, the latest shoes and all the latest accessories. Tori was a creative-child and has always had a flair for Fashion. Even as a little girl she always seemed to have a knack for handbags & the idea of creating something unique & stylish that was very much her own. Growing up Tori was heavily influenced by both her Mother & her Grandmother. Designing & sewing was a family trait and always highly encouraged.

After working six years in Corporate America in the Computer Industry Tori resigned from her corporate job to stay home with her new baby. While adjusting to Motherhood, she started putting her handbag designs to paper & decided to start a business that she truly loved based on her creative ideas. She had a real passion for doing something hands on and knew it was time to turn her designs into reality. Reality for Tori is purses!

More recently, Tori collaborated with artist & friend SHANO to create a line of unique limited edition bags. Posh™ now carries several handbags & cosmetic bags that feature the art of SHANO. These wearable works of art are truly unique and a rare find to be collected and treasured.

Posh™ designs are simply fabulous because they appeal to all women! Because Tori loves fabric, the collection is always evolving & changing. Posh™ can be found in specialty Boutiques and select stores around the Country.

Tori: Handbags, Totes, Cosmetic bags and body products

Tori: On-line at www.PoshByTori.com or we are located in about 40 Boutiques across the USA- all listed on our site. .

Girlposse.com: How long have you been doing this?
Tori: One year this month

Girlposse.com: Tell us something about yourself - your personality:
Tori: I am a perfectionist and I love what I do. I am about to be 31 in two weeks and I still feel 25 :) Love life, my son & my hubby.

Girlposse.com: What finally inspired you to offer your goods to the world?
Tori: I wanted to stay home with my son so I quit my corporate job and decided to start sewing my own designs. It was an immediate hit & we just started offering all sorts of styles & colors. My son (Kannon) is my inspiration!

Girlposse.com: I love, love, LOVE your purses and bags!! How do you come up with your ideas?
Tori: Lots of shopping ! shopping inspires me. I love to find new fabrics & then just work around the fabrics that I buy. I love anything retro or 60's related and I love bright & vivid colors. Anything that makes you smile when you see it.

Girlposse.com: How did your collaboration with the wonderfully talented Shano come about?
Tori: I met Shano and loved her work so much that I decided to make purses and cosmetic bags. I love her art, love her as a person & I have her art all over our house. I live vicariously through her Diva's!

Girlposse.com: Tell us a little about your "Purse Parties"...
Tori: Tons of fun! Purse parties are parties that people host in their homes for friends & family. We show up with our wonderful bags & the fun begins! Women love purses and a purse party is such a blast!

Girlposse.com: What keeps you going on a bad day?
Tori: My little boy Kannon! He is a real joy & he can make anyone smile on a bad day.

Girlposse.com: Where are some of your favorite places to shop?
Tori: Love to shop at funky Boutiques. I love places that are unique & have a lot of various designers showcased. Love girlshop.com, NeimanMarcus.com, but, mostly funky little unique boutiques.

Girlposse.com: What was the best piece of advice you've been given?
Tori: The best advise that anyone gave me was to follow my dreams and make my own business success happen. My husband has always been VERY supportive and has stood behind me 100%

Girlposse.com: What advice would you give to a future Crafty Diva?
Tori: The same... don't give up. Believe in yourself & your designs & pour your heart & soul into it. If you love what you do you are a happier person & it shows.
