Cabin Fever
Directed by Eli Roth

About the Film
Starring: Jordan Ladd, James DeBello, Rider Strong, Joey Kern, Cerina Vincent
(This film was picked up by distributor Lions Gate Films while at Toronto. It is expected to be released sometime in summer 2003)
College is finally over and five friends escape to a remote log cabin in the woods to enjoy some last days of decadence before entering the working world. Merriment and good times sour when a delirious stranger covered in bloody sores crashes their party. Shots are fired and the lunatic flees into the woods, but it’s too late for our five friends: contact was already made. Soon one member of the circle gets ill and her skin starts to bubble and burn as a trail of oozing sores ravages her flesh. The group’s compassion quickly turns to repulsion and terror as their friend deteriorates before their eyes. To protect themselves from further infection, they lock her in a shed. After watching the disease corrode her body, fear of contagion sets in and the companions turn on one another, realizing that any one of them could have it.

Sheila's Review
Sure to hit a screen near you in 2003. This is another blood and guts teen horror flick with lots of scary moments and also a lot of laughs. Very well written, directed and acted with the right amount of everything.

A group of kids are out of college and head to the woods for a week. Imagine the woods like in Deliverance. A flesh eating virus has hit the area and the group turns on each other in fear of catching the others’ germs.

Gruesome special effects will have you covering your eyes and the laughter from the audience will have you missing some of the lines.

If you like teen horror flicks, you’ll love this one.

A letter we recived about Cabin Fever

Hello Sheila,

A friend e-mailed me the link to your review of "Cabin Fever," and I just want to thank you for the kind words. I'm really glad you enjoyed the film - you totally got it, and hopefully others will feel the same way when it's released next summer. I made this film completely independently - it took me seven years in total to get it done, and I'm absolutely thrilled it got picked up for worldwide theatrical distribution.

Seeing as our film has no stars, word of mouth is the absolute most important thing for my film right now until it gets out there. Good buzz is everything, and you have greatly contributed to that. As a way of saying thanks I'd be more than happy to do an interview for your site if you are interested, which you could post now or save for a closer date to the film's release. Also I'd be more than happy to slip you some behind the scenes photos from my personal collection, if you were interested in that as well. Just let me know.

Either way, thank you so much for your support!

Best regards,
Eli Roth
