Party Monster

Directors, screenwriters and producers, Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato bring us this movie based on James St. James book, Disco Bloodbath, which is based on a true story of 80's music and club culture which ultimately led to the murder of Angel Melendez.
Starring Macaulay Culkin, Seth Green, Chloe Sevigny, Natasha Lyonne, Dylan Mc Dermot, Marilyn Manson, Wilson Cruz, Wilmer Valderrama and Diana Scarwid.
Culkin, Green, Lyonne and Mc Dermot play roles far beyond those you would have seen them play before which is a reason in itself to see this movie. Manson has high billing but a very small role. The drug scene and partying of this New York City group is fascinating, but the movie does little to hold the audience capture. Once you get passed the weirdness of seeing Culkin camp it up as a wild gay boy, the thrill is gone.
Possibly someone who is high would find this film enthralling, but I was not all that wowed by the overall finished piece. Some may find it entertaining when they are in the mood for viewing some oddities.
