Sheila's Review
UK production starring Molly Parker as the junkie mother, and an incredibly talented young actor named Harry Eden, (the son,) who blew the audience away with his acting abilities. According to the director, Harry was able to embody the character. The character had to play the part of a ten year old boy whose mother was a junkie which seemed like a tough role for anyone to play.
This was a very ‘deep’ movie, which shows a family torn apart by the death of a father and a battle with drugs. Not a pretty picture, but a great story with a good tale to tell.
Molly Parker saw the film for the first time at the festival and was rather overwhelmed by it. She said the hardest part about making the film was getting the English accent down which was harder than playing the role of a heroine addict. The director was proud of the triumphant ending.
A must see movie.
Trixie's Review
This movie was brilliantly acted and directed. Although difficult at times to watch because of the emotional impact and subject matter, it was marvelous to experience. Molly Parker and Harry Eden were absolutely brilliant. This isn't usually the type of movie I would recommend, but I just have to. I am hoping this comes to a theater near you soon.
