Spider-Man

Spiderman, Spiderman, does whatever a Spider can, blah, blah, blah, lookout, here comes the Spiderman...............................played by a wimpy voiced Tobey Maguire who just doesn't do it for me. I need Spiderman to have a somewhat sexy voice, to be macho, to be a heart throb. Sigh! That isn't going to happen with this movie release based on the Marvel Spiderman comic series.

William Dafoe steals the show with his performance as The Green Goblin. Now that was terrific casting! He was fabulous as the villain. When he played the good guy arguing with his evil self in the mirror I saw Oscar winner all over the scene.

Kirsten Dunst is convincing in her role and plays the sickly sweet gal with a crush on nearly every guy in the film. Her role was only so so, but more to the script than her acting ability.

James Franco. Now there is a sexy guy who I believe would have made a better Spiderman/ Peter Parker than Tobey. He was great as the rich kid and will hopefully be back in parts 2 and three.

J.K. Simmons was perfect as Jonah Jameson, publisher of the Daily Bugle. Totally believable in his role and like a comic strip character come to life. Awesome performance.

Cliff Robertson and Rosemary Harris where also great as Peter Parker's aunt and uncle.

A film worth seeing even if it is just to let me know what you think of the casting of Tobey as Spiderman.
