Wow. This was deep. There wasn't an empty seat in the theater, yet everyone was quiet and caught up in the scenes on the screen.

Based on Michael Cunningham's novel of the same name this movie tries to capture a modern day version of Virginia Woolf's novel called Mrs. Dalloway.

There are three interwoven stories where three women in different periods of history, the 20's, the 50's and modern day, face questions about life, death and homosexuality.

At first I was concerned that this movie was going to jump all over the place and that I would be confused by trying to keep up, but the moving in and out of each time period was excellently executed and the story easy to follow.

The cast was magnificent. All the performances where superb. Starring Nicole Kidman who looks like a different person with the no make-up look, Meryl Streep who doesn't seem to have aged in the past decade, Julianne Moore, Ed Harris, Claire Danes, Jeff Daniels , John C. Reilly, Toni Collette and many more.

A must see for mature audiences only.
