The Pianist

Starring: Adrien Brody, Thomas Kretschmann, Frank Finlay, Maureen Lipman, Ed Stoppard
Directed by: Roman Polanski
Distributor: Focus

This is a Roman Polanski's film about classical pianist Wladyslaw Szpilman. Szpilman was a Polish Jew who managed to survive for years in the Warsaw ghetto until the Germans where overthrown and he was saved.

The movie was a little long, but incredible. I was very moved watching what the Jews went through during those years. Obviously you can only get a glimpse in a movie as to what life must have been like, but the glimpse is so well done that you get a real feel for the torturous times.

A film worth seeing.
