The Time Machine

This film wasn't at all what I expected. It was definitely more "Planet of the Apes" than "Back to the Future". As good as Guy Pearce is to look at, he just couldn't make up for the lack of oomph this film seemed to have. It begins when a brilliant inventor longs for a way to change the past that kills his true love. When he can't find the solution in the past he journeys to the future to find answers. In a bizarre twist he ends up 80,000 years in the future. A future that has morphed the human race into two different races. Although his questions are answered, it is a very unsatisfying one for the viewer. I left the theater feeling somewhat cheated.
