METALLICA: SOME KIND OF MONSTER was released on DVD on January 25 from Paramount Home Entertainment. This 2-disc set offers a no-holds-barred look at the world of Metallica and includes special features exclusive to the DVD, such as deleted scenes, audio commentaries, Sundance press conference, Sundance Q & A, San Francisco Film Festival, fan club rough-cut screening, theatrical and concert trailers, TV spots, New York premiere, "Some Kind of Monster" music video, band interviews at Oslo and more. Order cut-off for the DVD is December 14.

Featuring the most successful heavy metal band of all time, METALLICA: SOME KIND OF MONSTER offers a revealing and exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the legendary band as they confront personal demons and their relationships with each other while recording their Grammy™-winning album, St. Anger. Directors Joe Berlinger and Bruce Sinofsky followed the band around day and night and shot more than 1,200 hours of footage over a period of a year in order to create this extraordinary documentary that showcases the band in a different light. From writing an album from scratch, to fighting and therapy sessions and a rehab stint in between everything, this documentary shows a side of Metallica that many people have never seen and that fans will love.

The DVD's of METALLICA: SOME KIND OF MONSTER are priced around $20 in the U.S. and C$36.99 (S.R.P.) in Canada. The set is Not Rated in the U.S. by the Motion Picture Association of America and is rated 14A in Canada. It has a running time of approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes and is encoded with the Macrovision™ Anti-Copy process.
