Even the Odd
Popular Among Van Owners

Wrong Records - August 2004

Ben Hornbeck (Vocals and Guitar) * Joey V (Bass) * Ryan Darnell (Drums)

Can rock n' roll be saved?

One quick listen to Popular Among Van Owners, and you will think it can.

Listen some more, and you'll be convinced that it already has been.....

Thank god!

Even the Odd brings back the classic power trio in a collection of songs that are both raw and crunchy. Power-driven and high energy, you can't help but feel the music as much as hear it. Blasting through tracks like "Forgive Me", "Never Gone" and "Broken Gun", the music washes your inner-rocker soul with sweat-drenched chords, thumping drum beats and vocals dripping with bad-ass coolness. (Do I detect a bit of 80's heavy metal influence in those vocals?) It is near impossible to pick a favorite track from this CD - but I'm leaning toward "It's Over". None of these songs suck!! A rarity in today's thrown-together CD releases.

Although I have yet to experience Even the Odd live in action, I have it on high authority that theirs is show not to be missed!! If these boys make it out of their Detroit-area homeland, catch a show and become addicted!
