Stevie Wonder
"A TIME 2 LOVE"
Release date: 5/3/05
Single Title: "So What The Fuss"
Label: Motown Records
Website: www.steviewonder.net

"So What The Fuss," Stevie Wonder's new single will hit radio stations in early March, the initial release from his much anticipated new album, A Time To Love, which is scheduled to be in stores on May 3rd.

"A Time To Love is a statement within itself," Wonder has said of the new disc. "There's been a time for war, a time to imprison, a time to hurt and break down. More than ever we need a time to love."

Sylvia Rhone, President of Motown/Executive Vice President of Universal Records, hails Wonder's album as both a watershed moment for the artist, and for the music industry as a whole. "It's a vital album by an indispensable artist at the height of his creative powers," stated Ms. Rhone. "Each song stands as a vibrant entry point to the cultural and musical pulse that Stevie has had his finger on for more than 40 years."

Stevie Wonder has remained one of the truly essential artists of our lifetime. Winner of 22 Grammy awards, as well as an Academy Award, creator of more than 25 #1 Pop and R&B hits, with more than 70 million records sold, the youngest-ever Kennedy Center honoree and recipient of hundreds of awards -including the 2004 Billboard Century Award - the Michigan native emerged as the definitive artist of Motown's golden era to become one of the the most prolific singer/songwriters in music history. Cited by a new generation of urban and hip hop artists as one of today's seminal musical and cultural influences, Wonder is also recognized for putting a human face on countless social issues. A tireless champion for political and social justice, Wonder was the preeminent force behind the Martin Luther King holiday and USA For Africa, as well as helping to raise awareness about the AIDS epidemic and the scourge of Apartheid in South Africa. A leading voice in the fight against world hunger, Wonder also put his highly personal touch to his own causes here at home, including his annual House Full Of Toys Benefit Concert.

About Stevie Wonder...

Beloved American Icon, Stevie Wonder's 1962 debut album "The Jazz Soul of Little Stevie Wonder" was the beginning of a career that would span over four decades, selling 72 million albums with 37 #1 singles, including 19 Grammy Awards, One Oscar, a Golden Globe and numerous American Music Awards and Soul Train Music Awards.

"The 12 year-old Genius," the title of Stevie's second album was not an overstatement. As a child prodigy he took control of his musical direction in the '70's and with each decade he has continued his reign as a musical influence, continually shaping the soundtrack of American popular music....And he has done so at his original recording label, Motown. His induction into the 1989 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is a testament to Stevie Wonder's impact on contemporary popular music.

Just as Stevie has refused to confine himself to one musical sound or genre, his inescapable positivity and spiritual generosity has generated his involvement in many humanitarian causes. His single, "Happy Birthday" gave voice to the successful campaign to make Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday a national holiday.

His boundless spirit has embraced all of our hearts and minds. Stevie has received numerous humanitarian awards in recognition for his on-going commitment towards helping people around the globe live in harmony, and it is with that same commitment to lifting our spirit that he will release his first album in 10 years "A TIME 2 LOVE".
