Angel Eyes

Starring Jennifer Lopez and James Caviezel in an interesting and occasionally teary movie about two unlikely souls who find life and love with each other.

I live in Chicago and I've never seen a cop like Lopez, and I find Angel Eyes a hard story to swallow in that a cop would fall for a guy who appears to be homeless; but it is a story and stories are supposed to let the imagine run wild. This story does cause one to let their grip on reality go for a little under two hours.

Caviezel plays the character, Catch, who loses his wife and son in a tragic car accident. He wanders the streets and doesn't face the loss that has taken place. Lopez plays Sharon Pogue, a Chicago cop who comes from a home where her father beat her mother and she is not a welcome family member after having her dad arrested. Bother characters find each other and love blooms.

I didn't wish to see this movie as I've never been a Lopez fan. After seeing her performance, I have to admit that she was the best part about the movie and I have a new found respect for this gal. This flick won't do too much to entertain the guys, unless they have a crush on Lopez. Woman will generally like the movie and will love the scene which has Lopez in her underwear.

Hats off to Hollywood for finally realizing that an actress doesn't have to be a waif to be on the big screen. No hurry to see this movie. It will be on video soon enough and you can catch it then.
