Battlefield Earth
Starring John Travolta in his worst role of all time as a villain from another planet, and Barry Pepper, who does a great job with a lame hero role. Roger Christian directed the screenplay by
Corey Mandell which is based on a novel by L. Ron Hubbard. I tried to find something positive to say about this movie, and all I could come up with was that the costumes and make-up were very good.
Overall, the movie was dreadful. I only stayed till the end so that I could write a fair review based on the entire movie. Otherwise I would have walked out.The writing was dreadful, the story down right
stupid and the camera directing was so bad with its angled shots, close-ups and quick movements, that I was feeling nauseated just watching the screen.Save your time and money and don't even bother
renting this one on video. -Sheila
