Bridget Jones’s Diary
A very entertaining movie which had me laughing from beginning to end. Hugh Grant, Renee Zellweger, Honor Blackman and Jim Broadbent were incredible in this 'real' movie. This wasn't the
typical Hollywood flick where characters are very make believe. This movie showed 'real' life types living in a 'real' world.
Let's hope that movie makers everywhere learn a lesson from this. A
lesson that glam actors and actresses playing unbelievable roles are not necessary. You can have a great movie starring great people who can portray life as it is and it can be very amusing.
Bridget is a thirty something single gal who drinks, smokes and is not anorexic. She is real life. Her mom tries to marry her off to any eligible bachelor she can find. Bridget falls for the wrong man
and wonders if she will ever find Mr. Right.
This isn't just a chick flick. I challenge any cool guy over 21 to not find this movie to be delightfully entertaining.
Stop reading this and get to the movies to see this now. ~Sheila, April 2001 Read Trixie’s Review
