But I’m a Cheerleader
Presented by Lion Gate Films, this is a movie about sexual disorientation where among other things, being a vegetarian means you must be a lesbian.
Starring Natasha Lyonne, Clea Du Vall, Ru Paul
Charles and Cathy Moriarty, this film is extremely well cast and incredibly funny to watch.
Set in the 50's, Lyonne's character is 17 and a cheerleader in high school. She thinks she is 'normal,' but her
friends, boyfriend and family feel differently. Lyonne is sent of to True Directions, a school run by Moraiaty's character where homosexuals are sent to 'get straight.'
An unusual happy ending brings an
incredibly funny movie to a close. Well worth seeing and I know I'll be getting the DVD version when it is available.
