Chocolat
A must see movie. Set in the 50's, this flick is about a mother and child who roam from town to town like gypsies, taking the ashes of the child's grandmother with them and letting the
north wind tell them when it is time to move on.
The mother opens up a chocolate shop in a small, very religious, French town and deals with the struggles to be accepted by the towns folk, and
refuses to change for them. She alters and improves many lives in the small village with her secret recipes which have a dash of a special ingrediant in them, and with her charming persoanality and
warmth.
Johnny Depp plays an Irish river rat who lands on the banks of the small town and is sexier than I have ever seen him before. The villagers try to run him out of town, but you'll have to
see the movie to find out if they win or not.
The cast is excellent in their roles, and the script provides laughs and emotional warmth.
