Enemy at the Gates
Starring the oh so sexy Jude Law and the classic Ed Harris. A
very disturbing movie about the battle at Stalingrad and a couple of sharp shooters; one German, one Russian, both trying to kill the other to give their country the edge in the war.
I don't know what disturbed me more. The scenes of young men having to choose to be killed by the enemy or by their own superiors, or the senseless battle of war where life has no
meaning and men are only seen as numbers.
There is love, betrayal, friendship, and even some sex thrown in to take a little of
the focus off the killing. An interesting movie to see for the history involved and to make people aware of what war can be all about. A disturbing movie to see if
senseless killings make you uncomfortable.
I'm happy I saw this flick, but won't be watching it a second time over.
