Evolution

Starring: David Duchovny, Julianne Moore, and Orlando Jones

I’ve always thought of David Duchovny as a cerebral actor. I’ve read about his intelligence, and have appreciated his very dry wit. So although this wouldn’t typically be a movie I’d be interested in seeing - curiosity got the best of me and I headed to see the film on a Saturday night.

I was delighted. Evolution is quite funny, Duchovny’s dry sense of humor balanced well with Orlando Jones’s comic scenes. The two are teachers teamed up when a meteor strikes earth and begins an evolution chain that defies science. If they had only taught evolution this way when I was in school - I would have paid attention.

A good laugh indeed.
