Girl, Interrupted
This movie deals with a young girl admitted to a private hospital for treatment after downing a bottle of aspirin and a bottle of gin in the late sixties. Ryder plays the confused teen who is
forced to challenge what sanity actually is and if in fact, she is sane. Jolie steals the scenes in which she is a part and with her lips and Ryders eyes, there is a lot to admire visually. The movie is
well worth a look, but it won't hurt to wait until the video comes out. In the mean time, read the book. The book combined with the movie gives a full content image for Girl, Interrupted. (Sheila, Feb. 2000)
