Gone in 60 Seconds

Starring: Nicolas Cage, Giovanni Ribisi, Robert Duvall. Don’t let the commercials kid you - Angelina Jolie has quite a minor role.

Despite the critics warnings I ventured to the theater expecting to be thoroughly entertained. I was not disappointed.

For anyone that likes Nicolas Cage, cool cars, chase scenes, or high adventure and action - this is a movie you’ve got to see. The story was typical of this type of action film - but the characters were funny and fun to watch. But the cars steal the show. Along with Cage’s driving (as I’ve heard he did all of his own stunt driving). The story revolves around the 50 exotic and expensive cars that will be stolen in one night in order to save Ribisi’s character.

I wish there had been more chase scenes, and they could have cut out the 3 minute almost romantic scene between Cage and Jolie which wasn’t necessary - but other than that it was the quickest 2 hours I’ve spent in a theater this year.
