September Movie Reviews
From the 2000 Toronto International Film Festival
Happy Days
A woman spends most of the movie up to her waist in the ground, then the latter part of the movie only her head is above the rubble. She has her bag of necesseties ( a toothbrush, toothpaste,
mirror, a gun) and a parasol to keep the sun at bay.
I have no idea what was going on in this movie, so I took the time to take a brief nap rather than going outside into the cold air.
Not something I wish to sit or sleep through again.

I can't believe that we started our day early for the first film, Happy Days. Actually I think I'm more stunned by the film being accepted into the festival at all. The entire film is focused
on a woman who is initially buried up to her waist in rocks and sand, and eventually is buried to her neck. I have no idea how long she had been like that or why. Frankly I don't care. After about 5
minutes into the movie all I cared about was the fact that it was cold outside and I was extremely tired. I figured it was naptime. So that's what I did. Or tried to do anyway.
