The Ninth Gate

This is a rather long, drawn out movie starring the talented Johnny Depp who has come a long way since Twenty One Jump Street. Depp is great and I did enjoy the way that somehow scenes were worked into the movie which let us see him shirtless. Yum!

Depp is hired to seek out two books and compare their authenticity with that of his client's book. Lucifer himself is said to have been involved in the writing of the books and responsible for the etchings in them. Needless to say, there is death are and demons involved in this tale.

I was reminded a little of Eyes Wide Shut and we all know what a flop that was. If you like, you may as well see the flick to watch him in action, otherwise, you won't be missing too much if you miss this movie.
