One Night at McCool’s
A girl, a guy, a murder. That’s what starts off the movie, and
unfortunately it never gets much better than that. It had the potential of a great dark comedy - if only it weren’t so short on the comedy. Or the dark for that matter.
Liv Tyler was cute to watch - but so unconvincing as the sexy siren that would drive men completely wild. John Goodman looks so unhealthy its uncomfortable to watch. Paul Reiser was
simply annoying. The bright spot of the movie had to be Matt Dillon, but even he couldn’t bring the movie up to watchable standards. Too bad. Another $7.00 and a Saturday evening wasted.
