The Big Kahuna

A great cast starring Kevin Spacey, Danny De Vito and Peter Facinelli. Three men in a room swapping witty and sometimes thought provoking dialogue, make up the substance of this film. A little long and drawn out, but a great script using words rather than special effects to capture the audience. An intermission would have been nice to have a rest from the on screen communications, so wait for the video where you will have a pause button at the ready, when you need a break.

I had wanted to see this film in Toronto at the film festival last year - but timing didn't allow it. The cast was superb and the dialogue both profound and witty at times. The movie did tend to drag in places - but I'm not sure what could have been left out. Kevin Spacey, Danny De Vito and Peter Facinnelli portrayed each of their roles with a realism that made you feel as if you knew them personally. They could have been your father, husband, or neighbor.
