The Haunting

I thought I wouldn't like this movie because the effects looked kind of hokey in the TV ads. But they actually looked better in the theater. Unfortunately the plot was extremely hokey (even for a horror film). And a bit hard to follow - not that I really wanted to anyway, it was so boring.

The house was cool - and yes the movie made me jump and spill my popcorn at one point - but it didn't scare me. Which is really what I wanted. And I'm not that hard to scare. Really. But if you want to go to a movie so you can act scared so your boyfriend will hold your hand - this is it.
