O Brother Where Art Thou
Soundtrack

I have no idea why I had to buy this CD, and why I like it so much. While watching the film, I was struck with how powerful the music was and what a role it had played. It was almost like a character of its own. I immediately came home and ordered this soundtrack.

Sure, the highlighted song in the film, “I Am a Man of Constant Sorrow” is catchy enough. I found myself humming along during the film simply from having caught bits in the previews. But it’s Allison Krauss’ haunting voice in “Down in the River to Pray” that keeps sticking in my mind.

I’ve never been a big fan or follower of country, bluegrass, gospel and the like. But after listening to this CD I’ve had to buy a few Allison Krauss CDs. I’m sure I’ll be buying even more within the next couple of weeks.

You should definitely give this CD a listen. I’m glad I added it to my collection.
