This is the highlight of Houma, LA. In fact - this is the best food I've ever had in Louisiana. Located about an hour from New Orleans, Cristiano's is definitely worth the trip if you're visiting the "Big Easy". From the moment you walk by the courtyard into the building, you'll begin to feel relaxed by the casual yet elegant atmosphere that Critiano Raffignone has accomplished. Take some time to admire the selections of wine in the entry before being seated. If you are a local, you can join their Wine Club to experience some of the fine wines that Cristiano selects.

The menu is all italian. Authentic, rich, flavorful, and full of variety - you're sure to be pleased with any item you select. Can't make up your mind? Go with the house special of the evening. Go hungry, as the portions are plentiful, and the appetizers are too enticing to pass up. I was brought here for the first time by an italian who knows her food. (In fact - her family cheese gnocchi recipe will be featured as a special soon.) Save room for dessert. Better yet - have everyone order something different and share. This is the best way to experience what sweet treats Cristiano's has to offer.
