A True Friend
As the last person who has access to anything that gets published on Girlposse.com before it is viewed by the world, I have the distinct advantage of being able to write anything I want. I’d like to take
this moment (and the extra article page) to express my appreciation for a person that knows and lives the truest meaning of friendship.
Sheila, Throughout the years, through thick and thin and
through countless pints of Ben and Jerry’s I have always cherished our friendship.
I want to thank you for:
- Not arguing about the extra page spent this month on you. I know - you’re shy. (Seriously. Some of you may not believe me - but she really is.) This mushy stuff is really not your thing, I
know. But you know how I get after a glass of wine. :-) At least I’m not crying....yet. haha
- The great traveling memories. From driving cross country to walking the streets of Paris. Whether the cities we visited were great or not, the memories will always make me smile. The photos make me
laugh.
- The endless hours of conversations we’ve had. I know that if I ever need to vent frustrations, cry on a shoulder, share good news, bounce ideas, or just chat - you’re there. Despite your busy
schedule and your galavanting around the world, you have ALWAYS been there when I’ve needed you most.
- The postcards, candy, goodies, trinkets, gadgets, etc. And not just for me. The gifts you find for everyone. It’s never necessary or expected. Yet you manage to always find the perfect gifts. That
only comes from really paying attention to people and knowing them so well. Your insight still mystifies me.
- Sharing in my worst heartache,
the happiest day of my life, and everything in between. You’ve seen me at my lowest, you’ve been beside me at my best. (OK - you were beside the photographer giving pointers and directions, but you know what I mean.) ;-)
- Always helping me believe in myself and my decisions. I’m sure there are times you’ve disagreed, but you never once have ever made me doubt myself or my life. I see you do this with many people
around you. It’s incredible.
- Being you. You are exactly what you present to the world. No pretenses. No show. Just pure, honest you, take it or leave it. You are an amazing person. Everyone that knows you is lucky. Your closest
friends are blessed.
These are the things that define a true friend. Thanks for being mine. :) ~Trixie
