3 Days in the Snow with Sheila

What to Pack:

  • Ski/snowboard pants. Water resistant pants to keep you dry. My pick was the Bombshell for girls snowboard pant. They come in bright colors and are enough to make you look good, even if falling on your butt.
  • Wind and water resistant jacket. My pick was a lined nylon jacket I had, which I sprayed with water resistant spray to protect it from the elements.
  • Thermal underwear. My pick was an EMS Bergelene (tm) long sleeve crew neck tee and long johns in a medium weight.
  • Long sleeve front zip fleece. My pick was a Juno (tm), polartec fleece top. It is designed to fit a woman's body. I also like the Girl Star fleeces. They are stylish and feel good to wear too.
  • Woolen Hat. I used a Warner Bros. one I picked up a few years ago with Daffy Duck embroidered on the front.
  • Fog resistant Goggles and sunglasses. I like the SPY sunglasses and the Smith Goggles
  • Face cover. Something to cover your nose down to and including your neck.
  • Gloves. I used a pair of Thinsulate gloves suitable for the snow so they keep out the wetness and keep in the warmth
  • Socks. Sports socks work best and especially ones designed for snowboarding and skiing. They actually keep the feet warm and they stay up.
  • Shoes. I used a pair of Sketchers which repelled the water and kept my feet comfy and dry.
  • Water bottle.
  • Knee and butt pads, and wrist guards: Optional
  • Sports bra if snowmobiling is on the agenda
