Athens Greece Part 1
A journey into history can be taken in Athens where the mighty Acropolis stands high upon the hill, visible from most parts of the city.
There is an amazing amount of gleaming marble to be seen here. Be sure to wear shoes with a good grip as the smooth marble can get a little slippery in places. The
site costs approximately 2000 drs to get into which includes entry into the museum on the property, which houses many of the ancient relics from the original buildings. Crowds swarm
through here each day, so take some patience with you and just marvel at the wonder before you, rather than at the crowds around you.
The Plaka area is a great place to wonder around the streets and do some shopping before dining for the evening. Dinner is usually
eaten after 9pm, but many restaurants open earlier for the tourists who are not use to eating so late. (click on pictures for larger view) (read more...)
