This distinctive hotel is in a convenient location on the corner of East 39th St. and Lexington Ave. David Rockwell designed this and the other W properties which are slowly spreading across the USA and other parts of the world.

There are the usual amenities including room service, a spa, a health club and a trendy bar to hang out to be seen and to people watch.

Room rates start at $259 which is relatively average for a decent New York Hotel.

I was pleasantly surprised by the polite staff from the bell hops to the housekeeping staff. Not all New Yorkers are this friendly.

The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable and the decor isn't over done.

My only complaint would be the thin drapes which do not block out the morning light.

Overall, I love this place and would stay here again!
