Travel Tips

• Don't count on sleeping in Chicago. The bars are open until 4 or 5AM and there are too many places to eat breakfast when they close. The shopping is great. The pizza is even better. You simply won't have time to sleep.
• When in London - LOOK UP!!! Not only will you get to see the great detail on many of the buildings, you'll also be able to find the street signs: on the buildings themselves.
• While on the subject of London, I must list Sheila's tip: "When in London, go to Scotland".
• Hollywood. One simple fact: You can't see the Hollywood sign at night. It is not lit up. Take it from someone who lived there and had a view of the sign from her apartment building. I don't care how it looks in the movies. Look for it during the day.
• Don't count on using your Discover card in Toronto (Canada). Don't believe what the customer service reps tell you on the phone - you won't find a store or restaurant that accepts it.
• Despite what some of my best friends say (sorry Ron) Forget Paris!!! Other than a couple old churches, the Louvre and crepes - it's not worth the trip. The people are rude, it's dirty and their Diet Coke (Coca-Cola Light to them) tastes nasty!
• Texas isn't my favorite place, but Austin has GREAT live music! Check out the bats while you're there.
• Sheila says..."When in Vegas, one has to take the M&M tour at Gameworks on Las Vegas Blvd., not far from the MGM Casino. I received my M and can't wait to take the tour again. Okay, so I'm a big kid at heart and was totally impressed by the effects used during the 3D movie and the Professor was a gas. The other sight which is my fave would have to be the Light and Sound Show on Freemont Street. It had my toes tapping all night. Be prepared to look up and have some fun."
