W Hotel
Location: Lexington Ave, New York, NY

I tend to stay in a lot of W Hotels around the country and on the most part they are pretty cool. The beds are usually so comfortable that you want to take them home and the decor is stylish.

The Lexington Ave location however has to be the worst hotel I have ever stayed in in this country. The rooms where so small that I considered leaving my bags in the hall and the bathroom was so small that you needed to close the toilet lid just to get to the toilet paper. To make matters worse, the maid short sheeted the bed and all the front desk staff could do was to laugh and the head of housekeeping just said that she had told the maids not to do that.

Now if I was paying small change for a room I'd accept that the accommodations where what one paid for, this standard room with a queen size bed was nearly $300 a night.

Talk about a rip off.
